Terms and conditions
The following terms and conditions apply to all services offered by A Frank Idea Tmi, business ID / Y-Tunnus 2955889-2.
A Frank Idea

A customer is a person who has ordered or in other way confirmed an activity or service to A Frank Idea. An order is a documentation of a booking. An order confirmation is any documentation from A Frank Idea to a customer including prices and specifications of the services and confirming the availability of the ordered services. A partner is considered anybody working with A Frank Idea, either for A Frank Idea directly or subcontracted as third party.
A Frank Idea offers guide services and consultancy.
A Frank Idea will exercise at all times measures to maintain and improve the quality of services of A Frank Idea.
The language used for guiding and during all services is English if not otherwise stated or agreed.
The services offered and to be delivered by A Frank Idea under these terms and conditions are set out for each service in the service descriptions at www.afrankidea.com or third party booking platforms, or otherwise agreed in written form. In case a requested and agreed upon service is not listed in the service descriptions on www.afrankidea.com or third party booking platform, an invoice may be issued and send per email by A Frank Idea.
Pricing, Reservations, Payments and Invoicing policy
The prices of the services include VAT according to the Taxation Laws and Regulations of Finland. All prices are net prices. A Frank Idea reserves the right to change the prices in case of any unforeseen increases in costs (including but not limited to taxes, fuel prices etc.) beyond the control of A Frank Idea.
The price for children of 7 to 17 years old is 50% of an adult price, in a rounded amount. Children under 7 years old attend the service for free.
Only persons over the age of 18 years old are allowed to use A Frank Idea services without custody or guardianship of an adult.
Bookings of services can be made online, at the web store at www.afrankidea.com or at third party booking platforms. Credit card fees at the expense of the customer may be applied when an online payment is made.
A reservation is confirmed when the full payment for the reservation has been received on the bank account of A Frank Idea or the full amount has been delivered to any A Frank Idea agent, and when the booking is confirmed by a confirmation email with a confirmation number from A Frank Idea to the customer.
The description of services on www.afrankidea.com and third party booking platform display the minimum number of customers for which the prices are calculated.
In case the number of customers decreases below the stated minimum number of participating customers A Frank Idea reserves the right to cancel or recalculate the prices for the specific service.
In case there is a short term availability for a service, customers are allowed to pay at the start of the service. In that case, the payment will be carried out through a mobile payment device by bank- or credit card. A booking is confirmed only after the total amount for the services is paid.
Different rules may be agreed between the parties; in that case, the agreed rules must be explicitly mentioned in writing.
Cancellations and rescheduling
If a cancellation is requested more than 48 hours before the start of the service the paid amount will be refunded, minus a 10% booking fee of the total payment per booking.
In case a cancellation is requested less than 48 hours before the start of the service as confirmed the paid amount will not be refunded.
It might be possible to reschedule a service. A Frank Idea holds the right to accept or refuse any rescheduling request. For each rescheduling a 25€ fee per booking (not per person) will be charged to the customer, in addition to the full amount of the services.
Any cancellation or rescheduling request must be sent by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org within office hours in Finland (Mon-Fri at 10-17, EET GMT +2) including the reference of the booking number. A Frank Idea will make all efforts possible to provide an answer per email within 24 office hours. The reservation will be totally refunded, even if the cancellation is made within 48 hours before the start of the service, if the reason for cancellation is illness. In that case, a medical certificate must be sent to email@example.com within five workdays from the date of the cancellation.
A Frank Idea keeps a right to cancel a service if so is needed because of safety or weather conditions. In that case the full price will be fully refunded to the payer. A Frank Idea also reserves the right to change routing of the program itself to ensure the safety or the quality of a service.
Accessible tourism: Medical conditions & customers with special needs
In case a customer has any illnesses (for example heart disease, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, back or hip problems) or special needs that could affect somebody’s ability to take part in the services, or if she is pregnant, one should prior to participating in any services consult medical experts about ones ability to participate in the service in question. Should the consumer have any illnesses or disability of this nature, she/he acknowledges that she/he participates in the service at her/his own risk.
A Frank Idea applies an inclusive approach in regard of service to customers with special needs.
A Frank Idea has a General Third Party Liability Insurance for bodily injury and property damage according to the terms and conditions of OP Vakuutus Oy (Osuuspankki Insurance department).
Motor Liability Insurance
All the cars or other motorized transport vehicles used in traffic in Finland must have valid Motor Liability Insurance. Compensation for damages or injury resulting from a road accident shall be covered by the valid Motor Liability Insurance of the vehicle that caused the accident. Under the provisions, any customer suffering bodily injuries is entitled to receive compensation for the cost of medical treatment, pain and suffering, and handicap, in accordance with the terms and conditions of Motor Liability Insurance and laws and regulations of Finland. Compensations are based on tariffs in accordance with laws and regulations of Finland and orders of the Finnish authorities. Damages for property are by law limited up to EUR 3.300.000. But if an injured party has willfully or out of gross negligence caused his/her own injury, the injured party is not entitled to compensation.
A Frank Idea may only be held liable for personal injuries or material damage arising from accidents that have happened during the delivery of the offered services and which are caused by negligence of A Frank Idea or its employees or sub-contractors or by the provision of faulty equipment. A Frank Idea is not liable for any accidental damage or injury which has to be indemnified under the travel insurance of a customer.
If any part, term or provision of these terms and conditions is partly or wholly held invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the validity or enforceability of other provisions, extent part and remainder of these terms and conditions shall remain in full force and effect.
Neither A Frank Idea nor a customer shall be held liable for any default, damage or loss due to a condition force majeure or to unreasonable impairment of A Frank Idea’s operations due to a similar cause (including but not limited to war, strike, weather, or other natural condition etc.). If encountered a force majeure condition, A Frank Idea shall immediately notify the customer in writing thereof, and shall keep the customer fully informed of the continuation of the force majeure condition and of any relevant change of circumstances whilst such force majeure continues. When encountered a force majeure conditions A Frank Idea shall also take all reasonable steps available to it to minimize the effects of the force majeure on the performance of their obligations under this contractual relationship. The terms and conditions are instructed and governed by the Finnish Law. Finnish courts will have the exclusive jurisdiction to settle any claim or dispute related to such a demand. The District Court of Lapland, (in Finnish: Lapin Käräjäoikeus), placed in Rovaniemi, shall be the court of first instance.
Privacy and data protection
A Frank Idea respects your privacy. A Frank Idea applies best practices to ensure the safety of the digital infrastructure of A Frank Idea.
A Frank Idea only collects the personal data of customers that are necessary to carry out the service and ensure safety during the conduct. Personal data is used exclusively for the service and is not shared with third parties. The personal data is deleted once the service is concluded. The customer has the right to examine and correct his or her personal data.
We will never use pictures of customers taken during services of activities for promotional efforts.
A Frank Idea is selling its services as well on www.quietlapland.com (external link) and on third party booking platforms. Third party booking platforms use different credit card comanies to process payments. By using third party booking platforms and credit card companies one agrees to the third party booking platform and credit card companies’ terms and agreements.
Frank Idea uses unencrypted email as primary medium for communication. Customers acknowledge that unencrypted email communication is not considered as secure in regards of privacy.
In case the website, computer or telephone of A Frank Idea will be breached, a notification shall be put on the webpage of A Frank idea. A Frank Idea will provide a description of potential consequences and possible measures to be taken to deal with a data breach.
